It depends where it's cracked as to whether it's weldable. You'll probably find the little flex section is cracked so you might need to find someone who can replace that.
As the flex section joins the 2 halves, they might need a cylinder head as a jig to make sure the new flex joint fits OK.

Something else to think about. You may also need to have manifold planed to make sure its flat

I had a similar problem with the heat shield being stuck on mine due to a seized bolt, and I did end up cutting it... poorly.

Now I have a Dremel and am itching for an excuse to use it in anger. Come around on the weekend and we can have a play... my Dremel, your heat shield/screws

Hi Paul,

Did you replace the heat shield with a new one? I do have one rattling since it looses a bolt

They all seem to crack sooner or later so I don't think I'd risk a 2nd hand one, especially at that price.

I wonder if anyone's gone to the trouble of having regular steel extractors made up?
