Things that come to mind for me:
Short to earth somewhere
Control unit not going to sleep
I have encountered quite a few electrical gremlins in the last few months, it all started with an EAS fault which then turned into an Airbag fault and now the battery will not retain charge for more than a couple of weeks. I have taken it to an auto electrician and from the tests that they ran the battery isnt losing charge and the alternator is working fine... Does anyone have an idea of why this may be occuring??
I am situated in Gladstone, QLD... any suggestions on an knowledgeable RR Techy near by??
Cheers

probably the typical becm never goes to sleep battery drain issue.
Mines done it for the 10 years I have had it - have to start it at least every 10 days or so - battery wont last longer than 3 weeks. hasn't been an issue as i regularly start it.
the common fix is a new receiving module for the remote fob. That being said, could be anything. have a look through the window every now and again in the dark and see it the shifter light is on faintly as this means the becm is awake and trying to decypher radio signals.

Any time you have an electrical issue you need to do the rangerovers.net electrical sticky.

I now add additional earth and power leads to the alternator whenever I buy a new car, 10 or so years old, as a matter of course.
That being said, it definetly could be the alarm module as advised above.
How old is the battery?
Battery is 2 months old...
