    Ignition Coils For Bosch Engines

One of my coil packs died on my range rover. I ordered one off epay last week and it's the wrong part.

I cross referenced the stock part number 0221503407 and came across a part number for a Kia sportage.

I found one at the local napa store. $61 out the door with a 3 year warranty.

Specs for part. 1995 Kia sportage. Single overhead cam motor.

i believe the Thor and Bosch are the same engine. i just call it Bosch because of the engine management system.

Also the coil is used on a BMW 1200cc Motorcycle. I can't remember the model though.

Lots of applications for this coil.

I drove it around today with the new coil. I can hardly tell the engine is on. Its incredibly smooth. Before i could feel the engine missing and it was running really rough. gas mileage is back up as well. I might get another coil and replace the other old one as well. But I need to to the brakes first.

I'm doing a bit of googling, ebaying and various other searching for a new pair of coil packs for my Thor, just wondering if anyone has an opinion on Britpart coil packs? I'm a bit weary or any britpart electronics? I will probably cross-reference those part numbers listed above with the Holden dealer and Proton dealer to see what prices they can do. eBay doesn't seem to be much cheaper on coil packs, and quality is questionable!

    Cheers

Yes Bosch and Thor are the same, the engine was designated the Thor and the electronics switched from Lucas to Bosch at the same time in 99

    Hi mate

BritPart do seem to be a bit hit and miss in their QA dept

Given what a bastard of a job it is to change the coil packs, I would be looking at quality over price for those puppies !
