Odometer bulb easy fix.
The left hand side bulb for my odometer stopped working a couple of days ago, leaving that side of the display dark, so I've been having a read on how to replace the bulbs.
Tonight I was driving and thought I'd give it a knock with my knuckle and guess what? The bloody thing came back on!
I felt like fonzie for a second there.
I just gave it a bit of a hit on the clear plastic where the odometer is.
So if you have the same problem, probably worth a shot before pulling things apart!
Hope this helps someone.

Get used to tapping it though - it'll do it every week or so from now on

It's about a 30 min job to remove/replace the bulbs in the instrument cluster. The wedge shaped bulbs are standard Narva blister pack items ...change them all and stop worrying (about light bulbs at least!) for a couple of years

Thanks Hoges, I actually have a few jobs under the dash to take care of, I was thinking of doing the bulbs for good measure while I am under there anyway.

I slap my console and dash around all the time when lights go funny... they generally come good.
Or, just try the new Rangie No 1 DIY fix... take it for a drive off road all your elec prob's should come good!
