    Tailgate Alignment / Adjustment

    Hey,
My recently purchased project P38 Autobiography tailgate is sitting hugely out of position, it closes fine but is sitting very proud up at the roof line.

I thought this was likely bent hinges but I grabbed some new ones and nope, no different. Visually the tailgate itself doesn't look bent out of shape either but I have another one to go on if needed. Has anyone had one sitting like this before? If so, was it something that can be adjusted out or what's the issue most likely to be?

    Thanks

Could you post a photo of the whole tailgate, hard to tell with just the top section.
Does it look out of alignment where it meets with the lower tailgate?
It's almost like the top section has been pushed upwards from the photo.
Does the glass sit as shown in this photo?

Will grab some more when next with the car, I think you're right though, the gap between the glass and the edge of the spoiler type bit for want of a better word at the top looks much larger on mine so could well be the tailgate itself is bent out of shape but just not immediately visible when I open it.
