First test drive was a no go, car was okay for a 16 year old car little rough around the edges. Had a flat battery and was buried at the back they used a jump pack to start but there was no movement from the eas so on my knees to see what condition the bags were in and bugger me there were no bags, had been replaced with springs. Told them not to bother moving twenty cars to get the rangie out I really want my first drive to be a real drive with air suspension, this is one of the main reasons I'm not looking at a SII discovery I want air on all four corners plus the 4.6L engine. I just like the theory behind a fully working air suspension. Emailed an enquiry on the silver one in vic waiting on a response.

1976 michelle thanks for all that effort a couple I hadn't looked at, I agree with you about not disclosing K's in the ads we know it's a ploy to get an enquiry I wonder if it works or just turns people off. The white one in NSW looks good but no offence to anyone with a white rangie I'm just not sure, at the moment I want to stick to my four prefered colour choices. Got an alert this morning on this one in Qld too many $'s for me I need something left in the budget for the few things I want to do straight up. Sent an enquiry on the dark grey one in vic waiting on reply from both, guess if your cars been for sale a couple of months you don't check you email every minute of the day!
New one just listed.

Yeh Im not fond of white either but didnt want to rule out a potentially good car on the basis of colour. My blue one I actually crossed off my list for a couple of months in case I was being biassed and looked at cars in colours I wasn't fond of but thankfully at the end of the day, the one I first wanted did still turn out to be one of the better deals.

Unfortunatly we in Australia dont get a lot of choice about colour. I absolutly hate drab coloured cars. Black, White, Silver, Grey, etc. For that reason most of "my" cars have been bright red. My P38 was white & a very good example. My current L322 is grey. Wifes I30 is bright blue( shes not so keen on red). Lood at the new model I30, no decent colours again.
Looking for a work ute [D/C] guess what around here there all white. So thats why they said white is the most popular colour. Its the ONLY colour you can get. Grrrrr.
So you may have to settle for a colour you dont like to get a good car OR wait a very very long time. All the best in your search

I will admit though, the Disco silver and champagne both look very crisp and neat (as does the white) especially with black bullbars snorkels etc.

Still no replies on the two enquiries I sent, been outside all day trying to finish my trailer which is one of the main reasons I need a 4.6L and I would really like silver as you will see in the attached photos a silver rangie would look just right in front of this! Don't get me wrong the closer we get to Chistmas the less fussy I will be about colour.

Keep an eye on graysonline, none at the moment but they regularly seem to have rangies 2-10 years old. With grays bid low ASAP then you only have to MATCH the highest bid at auction end. Their attachments with the vehicle assessments are ok not hiding major problems.

Thanks frantic always been a bit scared to buy at auction, I know a few people who have scored well. Is it still no test drives! if it is I reckon it could be a real crap shoot buying a P38, but I appreciate the tip and it's another source to keep an eye on.

mines silver, but the factory touch up paint isn't real accurate. Looks good with later model raised titanium colour lettering though. And my trailer ( when completed ) will be colour coded, nice!
