She no go.....
Hi all
I have a 97 4.6 that turns over but won't start. No errors on dash showing. What can I start checking without a diagnostic device.
Is there an easy way to check fuel flow, or if fuel pump is working?
Anyone got a portable code thingy that could drop in and hook up? I am in Perth northern suburbs.
Any mobile mechanics that anyone recommends for rr's.
Cheers
Kev

Can you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on?
If yes, there's a schrader valve on the fuel rail where you can hook up a gauge. If you don't have a gauge, then carefully push in the valve & fuel should squirt out. If it just dribbles (or less) then you have a fuel pressure issue & more than likely a dead pump.
