Not worth the effort personally, good old bondo body filler sets like concrete and is fine given you don't want major shape changes. I should have put allot more effort into integrating mounting points for the screen rather than effectively gluing it in pace and making life hard for Ron down the track :(Quote:

Its easy enough to put one extra factory button in unless you have one of the only manuals in the country.
You could remove the factory clock, I liked it so I kept it, and the AC temp sensor can easily be moved also.
I am now toying with the idea of doing it all again in the L322.
I would recomend a radio with all the controls on the handpiece and not cluttering up a dash with enough on it as it is.
I had lights for when the ac fans were running, eas compressor was running, temperature readouts for engine block, radiator input and output, voltage at the battery, BECM and altenator. All this stuff gathered over the years of chasing various faults with the car and then about 2 years ago I got rid of it all and put it back to factory, as it was like driving a christmas tree at night.
Each to their own :) as I am looking at adding a heap of data collection and display about all sorts of stuff on the L322.
Oh well... I've been away for a while... have one here in Canberra you could have borrowed.

I will post up my efforts, its a fun indoor distraction from the cold outdoor jobs I need to do to the car.
I was going to use plaster for the mold but the though of doing some vacuum forming has filled my head.
I need more space in my garage...
Make me jeaous others might be able to have that gear in their garage for odd projects :) I have had a go at vacuum forming once, and also a quick play with a low end 3d printer and it will be fantastic when this gear comes down to mass produced cheap chinese type prices.Quote:

I have a few cracked interior panels that could do with replacing... got me thinking now... must go off in search of 3D printers and capabilities :D
20 mins later... damn, not as cheap as I hoped and not enough XYZ movement to make a centre console in one piece.
