2001 P38 jumping door locks, possesed!

I've had a search around and could not find any conclusive answer to this one, any thoughts would be most appreciated.
My P38 seems possesed, with the door locks jumping up and down on thier own, seems to happen more often when it's in the sun and getting heated up.
It affects all the doors at the same time, while driving or parked, key in or out.
Last summer the tailgate switch was becoming a problem too, not always working...again was worse on hot days. The tailgate switch has been fine during winter so far.
I would not like to think my Rangie is unlocking itself while parked out in the street.
I recently had the drivers door opened up to replace the window regulator, could not see any obvious wiring issues in there.
I've read the drivers door latch may be a suspect.
I was wondering if the drivers door outstation could cause this?
Has anyone else solved this problem?
Would love to get this sorted.
    Cheers, Pete.

An exorcism involving a Cat 993 loader and a deep hole will fix this.

But yes, the drivers door controller/ outstation COULD cause this fault

LOL! Thanks Justin, I'll put the Cat993 on the 'maybe' pile!
Might be an idea to try a second hand outstation.

The other possiblity is to find a nanocom equipped AULRO member nearby that can check BECM triggers thereby ascertaining which or how many outstations are at fault. Could only really be the 2 front but worth plugging it in...

Thanks Justin, I have my own Faultmate Extreme and have found no BECM errors.
I'm thinking it is an intermittent fault, might be a hard one to trace.
I know it's happened to other P38 owners though, someone must have solved this one before.

    Hi Pete,
May also be worthwhile making sure your battery is at proper voltage. Seems strange that more than one door at same time!
    Good luck Martin.

Thanks Martin, did check battery voltage, tested ok, alternator was rebuilt only 12 months ago and charging well.

I have exactly the same problem.

Originally, it started as the drivers door, intermittently, failing to actually accept that it was closed. This was annoying as the EAS would not play nice as it thought the door was open.

The lock jumping started as the door closing problem got worse.

Finally replaced the drivers door lock and the 'I'm not closed' problem was gone, but the dancing locks remain to this day.

Very spasmodic, it may happen three times in 5 minutes or not at all for a couple of days. If I manually lock the door, it is faultless.

I don't believe it is a battery or voltage issue. Stating to think it may have something to do with the passengers door lock, what else?

I tell my passengers that its the "anti-suicide device". Stops people from exiting the Rangie while we are in a potential dangerous environment!

The actuators can become 'lazy', causing similar symptoms in Disco and RRC, too. Even though they are vastly different in design, the 'not properly locked/ closed' status can happen to the P38 door lock /actuator assemblies too.
