    Emergency tire question

    Hi all,
I'm off with the bride for a trip to Camerons corner from Sydney next monday and I'm running 255/60/18" x 5 tyres at the moment. To avoid buying a 2nd spare would my old but new Pirrelli scorpion 255/55/18 do for an emergency spare without upsetting the ABS etc..

They will be a slightly different rolling diameter, so if you need to use it, take great care.

The other alternative is a tyre repair kit and emergency tyre goop

PS: My spell checker wants to put "tire" as well

I thought it was too risky to take it, I just ran it up the flag pole to see who saluted.

I just picked up 2 second hand tyres the same as what is on Hoover ( General Grabber AT2's ) from Milperra tyres for $200.

So that gives me ( on board ) one complete spare and one spare tyre plus puncture kit. If that isn't enough I might as well stay home!!

    Thanks for the comments,

    Rob

    American spell checkers, gahhh!
At 100 it'd put a fair strain on the viscous coupling too.

Best for the wedding and honeymoon.
