    Help Front Seat Belts

I have just sold my P38 to upgrade to a Discovery 3, but it has failed it's roadworthy be ause both fron seat belts, where they join the B pillar, the plastic is cracking. Ther are no new ones in the country and the second hand are very rare. I am hoping some one might have a donor car in South East Qld that I could purchase the front seat belts, urgently. I am prepared to travel as far as I need, otherwise I have to get them from the UK and if new close to $500.00 each and a long wait.

I,m prepared to look at any and take them even if they are not much better then mine.

Panic over, I found two in Sydney. They are getting pretty pedantic on the Roadworthy up here now!

    Panic's back on.

The Sydney ones fell through, so I am in desperate need of two front seat belts for my P38. Where they join the B pillar need to be in reasonable condition. I will pay whatever it takes, so please help if possible.

Surely the plastic isn't structural? But what's the point in arguing with the RW types.

    Are they all one colour?

You've phoned around the breakers? Matar Motors on ebay, located in Thomastown, VIC usually have a good assortment of used P38 parts in. Send them a message through ebay. I'll dig their business card out if you're interested.

I spoke Matar motors this arvo and they are sending me two, but they like everyone else say there are small cracks but its not structural, which i totally agree with. Evidently if it can fray the belt then its a problem, but mine are not frayed and the crack is not where the belt sits! It seems like a load of rubbish to me and I have called the certification guy on 3 occasions and he doesn,t give a stuff. I can,t go somewhere else either a they can get into trouble if he sends in his paperwork.
Thanks for you help and hopefully matar have picked out some that will suffice.!!
