Seat tilt mechanism failure
Hi
I have had 2 of these fail recently, so it may be a fault which is starting to appear.
The front seat tilt mechanism is a gear driving a worm and (as you can see in the pic) the end of the casing holding the gear is held on by four screws which seem to slowly come loose
If you are able to rock the seat a small amount, then I suspect the screws are loose, as mine were) and eventually they give up altogether, then the seat really rocks back n forth !
I swapped both my driver side ones with ones I scavenged from a passenger seat, which I reckon has had a lot less use.

Great pick up Steve, i had noticed slight movement in back of seat recently & was going to check to see if mounts were worn etc. Now I will check those bolts. Hopefully larger diameter bolt will fix.
