    Well it seems that I may be able to flash my existing ecu with program from later model unit!
    Am likely to give this a shot first otherwise change ECU

    Just thought I'd post an update to this thread for anyone contemplating this mod.
    All working fine now after installing O2 sensors all that was needed was to swap out Gems ECU for one from a 1998 model. input vehicle details i.e. Vin S/N etc via Rovacom and Bobs your uncle!

    ps did try to flash original ecu with software from later one but did not work so I guess I'll keep that one as spare, just in case.
    Hope this helps anyone else considering same job.

    Has the fuel consumption changed at all since installing the O2 sensors and ECU?

    Well Gary, I dont know as I dont drive it much probably only done 50ks since done so guess I'll have to wait & see.
    From what I understand it may take a little while for it to adapt to new values.
    So once i know for sure will post up findings.
