the new remote might be just on the wrong frequency. does the blade that came on it from rover fit the lock mechanically? have you had a lock set change? to get remotes programmed i need: the 9 digit fob code (i can read it from the becm it worked with) or the bar code for that lockset or the chassis number the key is for.

if i understand corectly then, if you ask rover for the bar code for your chassis number, it should match the new key you ordered from rover. sometimes when the locksets were changed they left the bar code sticker for the new locks on the reciever unit under the parcel shelf.
Ron's car is now 433MHz as the lockset was part of a frequency upgrade warranty claim. The replacement key he ordered is 315MHz.Quote:
