    Yes, that sounds like a perfect idea to put in-line with a switch (or better than nothing without one). Feel a bit silly for not thinking of that - what a d'oh moment...

    That way you only need the switch for something like a dodgy water crossing or some such, and leave it switched on at all other times.

    Also, if you don't like redundant components like me, you can replace the delay timer altogether with a standard relay with a touch of rewiring.

    I don't have any problem with the self levelling, the switch is for emergencies only at this point. Though that could change in a P38
