    Bugger.

It probably sounds silly... But go out and do a little dancing... Take your ex (if she will) and your little girl

Sing more... Try happy, silly stuff like the Beatles, the Deltones, etc.

Keep smiling. Even when you don't want to.

Sell the bloody car and buy a carolla if you have too. You can get your fix on here anytime. If I was nearby I would let you borrow mine whenever the cravings get out of control.

    Good luck
    Hoo-Roo,

    Dave.

Keith, just like the posts before me I feel for you. After having been through a separation then divorce some time back I also had a young child involved. If you can get back together and both love each other put every ounce of energy you have into the relationship. Separation and divorce for me was a living hell.
Do what you have to to get things right. Your love and happiness to your family is worth infinitely more than a car.

    Best wishes Keith,

    Gary

Hey Keithy sorry to hear of your situation. Been there or similar at least with four kids was worst time of my life in many ways!
Hope you can resolve it with minimum of heartache for all concerned.
Also had the car of my dreams at the time which I ended up letting go, that hurt too, still regret it to this day.

All I can say is best wishes to you and yours and Aulro will still be around when & if you feel like returning. Good Luck and try keep your head up.

Hope everything works out for you Kiethy.

I also hope it doesn't come down to a choice between your woman and your P38, just remember the phrase "Hell hath no fury...."

    Keithy,

Sorry to hear you're going through it.

When asked how he got into the head and heart of a woman, Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets replied "I think like a man and then take away reason and accountability."

Jokes aside, good luck and all the very best.

Thank you for all the positive and inspirational words. It certainly makes a bloke feel better.

I'm not giving up on this, it's definitely worth fighting for. I've had quite a lot of help from close friends and family throughout this hard time. It's certainly not the end, not by a long shot, so I will continue to fight for what my head and my heart is telling me is right - meant to be. I'm a lover not a fighter, and being nearly 30 have had plenty of years of "trial and error" in relationships, so now have quite a backing of life experiences to confirm what my feelings are saying.

I'm not religious, but I am dead certain that this is it. She's the one. And I've been given signs (whether from above or not I don't know) to keep going rather than move on.

Thanks again for the inspiration and ideas fellas. It keeps my chin up. Really appreciate it.

I don't suppose its appropriate to ask - moreover, how's the engine rebuild going?

Sorry - couldn't resit. No offence - hope you see the funny side.

I have been away from Townsville for the last few months. I have been going through this myself for the last 18 months. I have a 1 and 2 year old. I should be back next week if ever you want to catch up for a beer.

Thanks! I might take you up on that offer. See how we go for time.

The plan wasn't an engine rebuild, just replacing head gaskets (preventative maintenance) and doing the welch plugs and some other preventative things.

To be honest, I haven't touched it. I've been driving it as a daily driver for nearly 3 months instead of a tourer, but haven't done a thing to it. It's still "fine" - I'd comfortably drive it to cape York again tomorrow, but eventually I'll need to do them.

    Cheers
    Keithy
