That looks very tidy mate, welcome to the madness of P38 ownership
Steve
Having had some issues with my Disco 1, I'm buying a P38 Range Rover V8 for my better half.
I met a number of the P38 guys from the forum at the Land Rover Combined Clubs' Expo. As you guys all know, I tow a 2.2 tonne food van, so the P38 will have a working life, until I can get my own vehicle sorted out.
Here's a few pictures.

Jeez, Patrick, you've rolled it already!
I had better lock the iPad so I can turn it upside down to look at your pics properly.

My first P38, a 95 4.6HSE, was the same colour scheme. Your looks tidy. Mine took a fair bit of TLC to get it looking schmick.
Nice ride mate and I hope it works out for you. Keep on top of the maintenence and you'll be a happy bunny.
Thanks mate. I'm hoping to discover that ownership can be trouble-free, also
When I uploaded them, they all became upside-down for some reason. I flipped them back in the gallery, but you're still seeing it on its roof?
There's been quite a bit of work done to it already. The background shows tha it's currently sitting at Bruce Davis's workshop, this is where I'm buying it from. He's done a bit of work on it already, I'll list it below.

Our P38a is close to standard in most ways, but it has had maintenance work done, obviously.
The "4.0" motor has been stroked (possibly bored also?) to 4.8 liters, around 60,000 kilometers ago.
Front airbags were leaky, and so was the valve block, both of which have been replaced with brand new parts, and the car now stays raised instead of settling overnight.
There were a few nigglies, like the glovebox and ashtray wouldn't open. The car would not return to standard height automatically after having (automatically) been in highway mode.
With thanks to p38arover and TheTree, I have a small list of things to do:
Fit "Little Black Box".
Lengthen dump pipe from coolant overflow bottle (so it doesn't dump coolant in to the relay box).
Measure voltage at aircon compressor clutch, and fix low voltage issue if present.
And because it's going to be a towing workhorse, I need to fit an electric brake controller. I run a Tekonsha P3 in my Discovery, and in a mate's Landcruiser that I borrow sometimes, and I'm very happy with it, so I won't be getting a different model.
If you guys have any other things you know of that I should be checking, please let me know.

All good now

What year is it? The GEMS and Bosch both have their own unique issues apart from the generic ones which plague us all
Steve
If it is before 99 then it is GEMS.
If it has not had the brake modulator upgrade done, that would be first on my list

Given it's coming from DPL I assume stuff like pollen filters etc will all have been checked
