    Insurance due

I've just got my renewal notice. The premium has dropped a bit but the maximum agreed value has plummeted from just over $12k to $7,150!

For the record SGIO comprehensive insurance on a 1996 p38a HSE $265.16 for 12 months with $800 excess.

I've got mine on agreed value ('99 HSE) and its dropped to about $8,500 from $16,000 in just over 4yrs...

    Suncorp

The premium is about $450/annum from memory with a $500 excess.

I had the same problem with SGIO a couple of years ago with agreed value plummeting. Rang them up but there was little they could do as their valuation ranges had been significantly tightened.

Give RAC a call. They were able to meet the resale value my mechanic reckoned was fair, plus the premium was cheaper. Since then they have also got my business for the caravan and Lady Penelope.

And finally in times past I have had good experiences with RAC when it has come time to claim. Have never had to claim on SGIO so I can't comment.

    Cheers

That is the highest agreed value they will go to. Even though I don't agree with the value!

RAC $320, $800 excess but value of $9,900. It looks like I might be changing to RAC.

shannons will insure you for any value you like, you just might have to pay for the privilege, might be worth asking before you commit.
