    Question HRA Lift Kit orders?

Pretty sure we are not supposed to put up selling stuff in the pinnacles, so this is just an expression of interest style "bump" of this (nearly one year ) old thread.

We have finally gotten hold of a complete "template" for an OFF ROAD & COMPETITION USE ONLY - HRA 2" LIFT KIT. All the components are there and we are costing production of a small batch run.

Sell pricing TBA, but for arguments sake, let us say the kit (no shocks, and no airbags) will come in at $400.

Would anyone be interested to order?

Kit to include powder coated front and rear spacers, extended front bump stops (std rears are retained), front and rear height sensor extensions and relevant stainless fixings.

Not there quite yet, but coming soon... so I would like to get an idea of the batch size required.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: if we end up doing it, these will only ever be sold for off road and competition use - that is... if the buyer runs them on-road, they accept all liability for insurance, registration, etc. Testing a car in all states for engineering approval would be impossible to build into the outlay req'd.

Dave, IMHO I think you're most likely to get a bigger response when you go international on some of the Facebook forum groups . Good luck!!

If the height sensor extensions are pretty much plug and play and properly designed I would definatly be in!

Smile EAS Lift Kits - nearly there!

    FINALLY... an update worth posting.

Our fabricator mates have completed a limited number of copies of Hard Range spacer (2" lift) kits from my set of the original HRA version.

In approx 2 weeks we should be posting appropriate details (whats included and how much) in the markets for interested people to purchase.

When the cost factors are understood and we have all bits (including stainless fixings, brake line and sensor extensions) ready to go we will post pic's here in the p38 section to let people know (if that's ok with mod's?).

Call the shop (03 9329 5766), or PM us your contact details (phone/email) if you want to reserve a set and/or be on a direct mailing list for when they are ready to go.

    Sorry for the delays.

    Hoo Roo, Dave.

    Talking Getting Close Now...

Well its finally getting close to a reality...

The Major P38 EAS Lift Kit fabricated parts are now in store.

Here are a few photo's for "general interests" sake.

OBVIOUSLY NOT SELLING HERE, but pricing looks pretty good too... around the $350 mark for the "spacer & extensions" kit might be likely... not finished just yet as we need to source a few fixings still but, well, that shouldn't take long.

Would forumite's purchase just this kit? Or perhaps complete with upgraded Air Bags and/or extended travel shocks?

Any feedback, comments, questions from the AULRO brains trust?

    Hoo Roo, Dave.

Quick question for learned people. Do I need new "gen 3" airbags or can I use my existing airbags with a lift kit? I understand I'll need the new shocks etc but the airbag part has me confused a tad. Cheers

    What bags?

Pretty sure that the original HRA kits were sold in combination with Arnotts Gen3 bags and also, 2" longer (and somewhat stiffer than the std boge damper) Bilsteins. This set up is probably still considered by most (me too) as the "premium package".

Over the years many people have done various versions of shocks and bags. And as is evident here, many have made up their own spacer kits. There are quite a few "life hacks" around this stuff, like using the std front shocks on the rear and buying new fronts only (Road Boss, Terra Firma and numerous others available). Or using Arnott's Gen two bags to bring the price down a little (I have had this set up for quite a few years). There are also Dunlop's and Continentals... and I know at least one fella who has put the Chinese Arnott copies under his P38 with no issues reported.

THE CLEAR ADVANTAGE OF THE ARNOTT'S IS THAT THEY HAVE GREATER TRAVEL (by a couple of inches). Many Report they also have a better spring rate (hard on compression and soft on extension) which is supposedly in reverse of the std boges. However, IMHO, I honestly haven't really noticed too much difference in the various cars I have traveled in over the years.

I don't think there are actually any rights or wrongs... in the end, it simply seems to come down to "you get what you pay for" AND "the budget drives the value equation".

    :-) Dave
