    Question BCC & HRA!

    Hi there,

Just a quick note to advise I have sneakily been sending friend requests around to a few P38 people under this user name as I have just recently bought into this British Car (including LR) Parts business.

MOST IMPORTANTLY... At some point in the near future we also intend to resurrect the legendary HARD RANGE AUSTRALIA and position it as a Landy "Halo Brand" alongside our core business. Discussions with the previous HRAowners are underway.

Not exactly sure what we will offer, but as a starting point, why don't you guys tell us what you would like in a NEW HRA RANGE?

No promises yet, as it's very early days in the process... but trust we will do our best to deliver on this input as time and $'s permit.

    HARDEN UP THE P38's!!!

    Dave (AKA DT-P38).

That's great to hear. The obvious need is bull bar, rear bar, lift kit, sliders, camber adjusted radius arms, adjustable panhard rods. Plus bash plate and diff guards. Oh and a decent roof rack would be a bonus. Good luck with it. How about affordable diesel conversion kit.

    Recovery points for the front.

Compressor rebuild kit. I've just ordered two (yesterday) from the UK.

Better quality air line connectors than these:

There might be a demand for rear ladders. I sold mine to PaulP38A so you could probably get one off him to duplicate. Probably in both left and right versions. I sold mine because it fouled the spare wheel (on the wheel carrier).

A nicely proportioned roof rack, something like the Safety Devices rack (below) - not the usual boxy thing

Tensioner pulley: Dayco sell only the complete tensioner in Oz but the pulley is available in the USA from people who don't like shipping to Oz. See RR P38 Idler tensioner pulley 4.6 /4.0 V8

    Dave,

could you clarify what "British Car" models and ages (generally). My question is actually aimed toward the "P" series Rovers (48-70's).

MG, Rover (including P series), Triumph, Morris, BMC, Mini, Austin, Leyland, Jaguar, LR are the main brands the previous owner has been sourcing and supplying for over 30 years. Of course we don't stock everything (a lot of stuff is getting near impossible to get hold of) but his supply network (new/repro, NOS and serviceable recycled) is still in place and working quite efficiently to supply a lot more than you might think.

We source for all ages and models wherever we can... not always successfully, but mostly where it's still available there will be a contact.

Pick up the phone on Monday if you want to make an enquiry about anything specific.

    Dave

As a side note, I am pretty sure I saw a P4 sitting for sale in a yard up near Jamison pub last time we went away to Big River.

I am sure you will get plenty of opinions here, but I think that the least obtainable items are a Snorkel, a Rear bar and sliders. All of these have to be custom made.

There are options for Bull Bars, Diff guards, steering and fuel tank guards although some would have to be imported

    The Dayco isn't metal, Steve.

Ooops my mistake I assumed it was

I am curious as to why would you go with a plastic idler rather than a metal one?
