Your thoughts?

I think you have 265/75/16s already, going to 33s on 18s might be 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other, 16s you have you can let more air out of ,may handle the same, can use km2s, won't have rubbing issues ( if it bothers you). You will get slight oh more clearance on 18s with 33s.

Nut even talked myself into it, go the 16s, only being able to go to 18s is a constant issue with L322s. Having more rubber, you can let the Tyres down more to save the suspension, blowing shocks on corrugated roads at low speed as a one l322 owner found out the hard way. I think he was running 20s though but was limited the amount of air he could let out of the Tyres.

Plus you would never want to be in a situation where you say to yourself after spending the money xxxxx wish I had of got the 16s

16's no question. You're using it primarily off road. If you need to drive around town quite a bit (as I do) swap out with a set of 18's with road tyres for the time you are using it on the bitumen, it's quieter and has better grip.

+1 for 16's.

I also only use mine for primarily offroad work and first thing I did was buy 5 d2 wheels ($250 off the forum - cheaper than steels) and fit 32" AT's.

keep the lift kit, gen 3 bags and the 16's

save yourself a lot of work and hassle later

I agree, more sidewall is a good thing. I'm only running 255/70's (4 years and umpteen off-road trips and the buggers won't wear down!!) at the moment so on 18's I'd end up with more sidewall than I've currently got anyway, even so, the positives for 16's are the availability of spares almost anywhere and as you say you can let them down without as much fear of damage to the rim.

I'll think on it for a few days, I think I've been persuaded though ;-)

In saying that, if you were closer I would offer to swap/buy those comets! One of the nicest std P38 18' rims around.

I reckon would be easier to sell with std suspension & wheels & bonus is you get to keep good stuff for offroad:)
Easy enough to do yourself as you know plus availability of 33 KM2's just in case! I m running lift kit with Gen III's & Km2's as well and ride onroad is pretty good & much quiter than most Mudddies to boot!

I put a few pics up in my "sucker for punishment" thread! I'm out at work at the moment so I'll take it out this weekend (probably will be lifted and KM2'd by then too)! It's a weird feeling leaving my blue P38 at home to take out the new one - such a hussy! I think the day I sell it I will shed a tear or two...

On a brighter note, I can get a set of 18" D2 wheels locally so will put tyres on them and sell the blue P38 with standard suspension and those wheels.
