I have the 18" wheels on mine for bitumen, leaving the 16" for the mud tyres. The Toyo proxy's have been absolutely fine with respect to road manners. Perhaps a little more road noise than my previous Pirelli Scorpions, but otherwise great to drive.

    What pressures do you run?

My alignment is spot on, rods and bushes are new, steering dampener near new.

I bought Hoges' P38 which had new 16's on it. Shame you aren't in Tasmania. I'd swap your 18's for the 16's. I just like the look of the car better with 18's.

I'm not that fussy about pressures. When I'm hauling a heavy load (people plus ball weight) I will check them and make sure they are near the maximum allowed on the sidewall. I don't always drop them back down afterwards. I don't drive far empty as I have another car for that. I'm usually towing something from 1.5t to 3t.

My main p38 drives exceptionally. I bought it from Hoges last year. It had new OEM shocks and all the other ball joint & steering damper stuff already done.

I agree, the 18's do look nice. If only they didn't tram line and there were more tyre choices out there!

Do the tram-lining 18" rims have the correct offset?

Got genuine Landie 18" on my 2000 P38 looking to get some off road AT's on them from standard tyres myself. Since I don't have the luxury of two sets (yet) to play with we shall see what happens.

Shame you're about as far away from me as you could get! I'd sell you mine so I can upsize early ;-)
