    I'm glad you had a good result mate

    Almost every hose under my bonnet has been replaced and fitted with jubilee clips !

    Goodo Paul, lucky you had some water on hand!

    Am I correct that the hose you're referring to is the one in the first pic that has an open end & looks to be about 1/2" I.D.? Coz on mine, both diff breathers, transfer & auto box breathers are all black plastic about 6mm O.D., very similar to the EAS air lines. Plus they have a "shepherds crook" end at the top, so the open end points downwards. (Apart from the g'box breather which connects to a little spigot on the passenger side wheel arch near the firewall).

    I'm curious where that hose in the pic goes to, have you traced it to see where it ends up?

    On another note, mine has just started to leak oil again, from the oil pressure sender which I only replaced a few months ago

    I was thinking the same thing, that does not look like a gearbox breather

    Yep not a gearbox breather, seems fuel related, joins to the box in the attached pic.
