i need help with engine gremlins
hi all i posted the engine sensor gremlins thread and now i have a new problem that has really thrown me.went for a drive this arvo and the fuel consumption on the highway is good but when we were driving along at 60ks the engine was surging,it was like i was stabbing the accelarator but at 110ks purred along nicely anybody got any ideas.

I cannot recall if you changed the TPS .
If there is a blank spot in the TPS carbon track, you can get a flat spot just as you "tip in" from say going down a hill.
It is most likely to happen at about 60 as this is the most used part of the TPS track.

thanks phillip yes i did replace tps thats what has got me bamboozalled

Have your ECU scanned for any error codes.
Buy a cheap China OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth adapter and download a code reader for your mobile phone. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of the equation.
