    Random EAS

Having some EAS issues where one side or end does not adjust height so i had some time to test it today and the problem is as follows.

Firstly it went to high mode, slowly but it got there and the heights measured ok.

I dropped it to standard height and the heights were ok. Then the problems

I had it in high mode and lowered it to normal height- the right side stayed up evenly and the left side lowered evenly.
Lowered it to highway- the right side went down to highway and the left side was at normal height.

and on another occasion from high i lowered it to access and only the front lowered.

The height indicator light also takes a long time flashing particularity when lowering before it stops , even thought it ends up lop sided.

Ive have new height sensors all round as I read this could cause the problem, checked the fuses/relays and the eas ecu connections which look good. Checked for leaks around the Valve block/pump none could be seen. I put a seal kit through it a few years ago that could due.

I also noticed when i opened and closed the door it kind of kick started it again and it would make some adjustments.Ch

Checked the faults and only fault that shoes is 7:Vehicle has moved.

Im thinking it may be the Driver Module or solenoids.

    Any advice appreciated

Have you got access to EAS Unlock software? There are a series of tests you can do on each corner to see what is/isn't happening. You may find it is just one valve (either front or rear) that is sticking and causing the appearance of being lop sided.

    Good luck

Ok so gave that a go.

Initially i could only raise each corner individual but none would lower.

Then after a few minutes i could get then to lower, I disconnected the software and the vehicle is now raising and lowering like it should.

    Stickie exhaust valve?

I will have to look and see if that can affect front to back and side to side.

If it has been a few years since a valve block rebuild, that would be my guess, it does indeed sound like a sticking valve somewhere.
The valve block does need attention every now and then, might be time to get a seal kit and give it a once over.
I would definitely do that first before changing any other components like the driver.
I have found the EAS can throw a wobbly sometimes, then return to normal operation for no obvious reason, but if it persists, I would do the seal kit.

Today again was testing it, and when lowering it to hwy the LHR stayed up only. Then it lowered after some time, after several attempts.
When i raised it back to standard the left hand side raised to standard height and the right hand side stayed at highway height, the eas light was solid on standard height so it must have thought it was receiving the correct signals from the height sensors. I would have thought if a solenoid was the problem then it would not stop flashing and be satisfied it was at height.

I may have more than one problem eg left hand rear solenoid and controller.

Think i will look for a P38 wrecking and buy a eas box with controller/block/pump for bits but also do the seal kit.

When you put the new height sensors on, did you re calibrate the heights so it all sits properly at different height settings?

Can anyone recommend a supplier/brand for a good quality Eas rebuild kit, diagram kit and pump kit.

    cheers
