Thread: Vacuum in fuel tank.

    Out of curiosity, there is a difference in the Gems and Thor fuel systems too, in that (and donít quote me on this) the Gems run a return line from the fuel rail and the Thor donít (could be ass about there). I wonder if this plays a part? Mine have all been Thor, and all had vacuum to some degree when opening the cap.

    You are correct, the GEMS system runs a continuous loop of fuel from the tank to the injectors and back again, the THOR system uses a single feed with a pressure relief valve in the pump

    Not sure if that accounts for the vacuum but it may well do so !
