Though I am on 32's I agree with keithy 100% I have never felt the need to change the diff ratio's though I can notice the car beeing a slight bit more sluggish but a bit of right boot fixes that pronto. I would indeed try it without first, you just need to do some calculations in your head to adjust consumption numbers and so on.
I suppose you are not too worried about resale value since you are modifying the car substantially and will wheel it so a very accurate ODO might not be the highest priority
Also, as keithy said: 2.7t loaded all day long; my P38 with all mods (expect tree/rock sliders) weighs in at about 2.5t by the time I am done I can't even bring my fridge I need a GVM upgrade!
Cheers,

Well, I guess maybe I'll cancel that order to Lucky8. They haven't fulfilled it yet and that frees up 3/4 of a grand on just parts.
Anyone got an idea as to a way for recalibrating the speedo? Looks like even with new R&P sets it wouldn't work since the system is actually reading directly from the ABS wheel speed sensors, anyway. Best idea I've got is buying 4 YELLR's and ganging one up to each wheel speed sensor.
And I appreciate quelling my fears about torque. I know 280ft-lbs is nothing to sneeze at but I was still nervous about losing pulling power. And I agree, dogging the engine at 2K RPMs would be great for highway mileage and I don't really anticipate towing much so the torque loss on hills doesn't concern me overmuch.
