Mate,

Brown Davis makes long range tanks (155L). Read more about it in this fuel consumption desert P38 V8 thread.

As I noted, I think they do hang fairly low or that might be an optical illusion. As I also mentioned in the other thread; since the spare no longer fits and the spare wheel well is not accessible due to the drawer system I am planning on fitting a custom tank in that space when budget allows. Judging by the size of the wheel well I figure it can fit an extra 120L of fuel.

In have a tradesman_ roof rack .company in bayswater in Melbourne .fitted perfectly,available in alloy or steel.
I have the steel oval design.

I had a Tradesman roof rack on my P38A, too. I previously had Thule roof bars (see the Markets). I also have Rhino rack legs.

I also had a Brown Davis long range tank. They don't hang down that far.

Thanks mate they look like solid racks. the rhino feet and bars don't look too tall either which is good. Could spotties or a LED light bar be fitted to the rack?

Wow, i like the look of the ARB winch bar..it compliments the lines of the P38 much better than the Xrox bar does.

No intention to thread-steal :) but I guess Dart (and others) are also served with these thoughts.

I noticed the rhinorack feet p38arover posted. Yesterday I have been looking into a frontrunner rack at their store but unfortunately the feet are no longer produced. Perhaps the rhinorack ones fit properly so that could be an alternative. I also own the thule bars so I could try and reuse those feet as well.

I digress somewhat... My main question is: how do the feet / integrated roof mount hold up on heavy currogations? It is a flimsy strip of steel (alu even maybe?) Racks usually do not fall apart since they are quite sturdy however most long term travelers I have read about have problems with either the gutters or the feet failing. ASPW also did a video on this a few years back.

With this in mind I am considering mounting the frontrunner universal tracks but if the feet do the job... Any thoughts?
