EAS Pump Doesn't Run!
I'm helping a friend trying resurrect a 1997 P38 which has been sitting around for a while and has EAS issues. The story so far is I finally got the RSW software to connect and cleared the faults. When the ignition is turned on the 4 leds on the height selector stay on, sometimes they flash and sometimes 2 leds are on the one for std height and the one for access height. So I did a height calibration using blocks thinking the ECU must be confused but no luck!
The main issue is that the pump won't run when the engine is running. I can use the software to start and stop the pump and I can also use the software to pump up the airbags. I got 2 ECUs from a local wrecker but there seems to be no difference. I did a static test on the pressure switch which measures as open. I have just read that a yellow relay will fit where the timer is maybe that will help? Also will the pump run with engine on and the bonnet open? At least we have something to do during the lock down. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Ron

Having the bonnet open will still let the pump run but the 4 doors & tailgate must be fully closed though. Even if the doors are closed, make sure the car thinks they are too (no 'open' warning on the display).
