Good News
Hi Folks,
well some good news, and a little bad. Good news first, I went for a drive out West today and my P38 was doing 11.2 liters per 100k's, at 100kph. Pretty happy with that, I think get a bit better when it gets run in properly. The other good news is I have had the last of my skin cancers cut out and is healing up nicely. The bad news is the bloody knock sensor fault is still there and causing the engine light to come on. So far I have replaced both knock sensors with new ones. I rewired the left sensor, then I had this last skin cancer operation. So I will try to get the right one rewired on this weekend. The fault that keeps coming up is low background noise in left and right sensors. So I think the computer is expecting to hear some background noise but it sees nothing. So if rewiring the right one doesn't fix the problem then I have run out of ideas. Has anyone else ever came across this problem. Or did I make the bearing clearance's too tight, .75 to .95 th. The specs say 1.5 to 2.5 th.
Thanks for any ideas,
Alan Temperley
