Replace the accumulator. The ABS pump is easy to overhaul and will probably only need a clean. Make sure you completely flush the WABCO unit, too. They don't like old fluid gumming them up. +1 on replacing the accumulator.
I had the exact same symptoms and a new accumulator did the trick.
Easy job, just depressirise the brakes first as described in the rave manual.
I did mine 8 years ago and not had a problem since.

Good luck finding an accumulator - I ordered 2 new ones ex overseas one after the other with both getting refused air transport.
Eventually got a used one from TRS in Adelaide - but not sure if it was in any better condition than mine, but swapped over anyway.
ABS pump replacement was refurbished ex USA, then found out Falconworks will rebuild.

I have brakes but they take a few seconds to come good on first start if day. I get a flash of abd/tc lights but no errors come up in message screen.

What does the brain trust think? Or should I dig deep and replace the lot.

Dont rush to "replace the lot" unless you have a bundle under your mattress. As suggested replace the accumulator as first step. My old 1998 P38 had issues as well. Relay failed, replaced with brand new RR unit, $125 Oooh, found out this model needs a thin pin on the ABS relay. trimming down the pin on a standard relay worked but pump still ran continuously, fitted new accumulator,bought from local supplier, pump still still ran on. Brakes worked ok but waited for motor to burn out as I tried everything to fix this, bleeding etc. Even over several weeks this didn't happen despite so many messages suggesting a few minutes would burn it out? Replaced pressure switch, no change. Began to suspect the pump wasn't putting out enough pressure. Looked at buying a local refurbished pump for around $1000 but found a brand new unit on Island4x4 for UK 875 pounds..around $1,500 Aud. way to go I thought. big mistake, hit with GST and other govt clearance taxes plus freight, ended up around $2500 Aud. Came with accumulator and pressure switch, genuine German made unit, Wabco. Well, it fixed the problem with the ABS but not the bank! By the way, if anyone's looking for an unused new accumulator or genuine relay I have one of each to sell.

I've ordered an accumulator 4 weeks ago from someone 25min drive away. Not real happy with AU post atm.
I'm getting errors every trip now. Going to be off the road soon!

Finally got the accumulator. Webco right part No, now I have to pluck up courage to try fitting it!

It's not so bad mate I have done it many times now. They run with quite a few threads screwed in so take a big rage to put around the coupling to catch the oil, loosen it and slowly turn. It'll squirt out and that's it Leave the car overnight and it'll be even easier.

Done the accumulator, just now can't reset abs sensor error. Going to have to pull the wheel off and reseat sensor.
