    Brake Modulator Issue?

    Hi All,

My 1998 4.0 Gems P38 has developed a brake issue.

Brakes work fine pulling the car up with no problem & pedal travel is fine.

ABS pump runs for 45 seconds on start up & almost every time the pedal is depressed - it's been like this for the 18 months since I bought it.

Pretty sure it needs the accumulator replaced at minimum.

The issue that has just developed is the pedal slowly sinks when held on at the traffic lights.

There are no visible leaks & fluid level is fine.

    Assume it's a modulator problem??

Will the Range Rover Solutions BMR kit solve this problem or could it be something else wrong internally?

    Thanks in advance.

RRS is a top bloke to deal with...and very knowledgeable.
I'd contact him first and see what he recommends. About 7+ yrs. ago, I replaced the dreaded plastic washer with the stainless steel one as per his CD/DVD instructions. The actual repair is the sort of job you can do seated at the kitchen table when the missus is out shopping for the day .

    Thanks for the reply.

I've read all the posts about the plastic washer that fails.

I'll contact Russel to clarify if the kit also sorts out any other issues with the modulator.
