That's an easy one. Wind each window down then up again. The sunroof needs to be driven fully back then closed, then opened upward, then closed. Or is it opened upward, closed, drvien fully back then closed. Try both.

After each window is sequenced, you'll get a message saying, for example, LH Front window set, etc.

Ron is right of course, but a trap for young players is taking your finger off the button too early. At the end of the procedure for each window and the sunroof leave the button pressed for a second or two. If you release too early you won't get the "window set" message. It is normal to get a "Window not set" message on the window up stage of this procedure.

Also, if you have disabled the auto dipping function of the side mirrors this will be reset. Disable it again by:
    1. turn the key to position 1 or 2
    2. select reverse gear
    3. press the memory button on the driver's seat until "mirror dip off" (I think) appears

If you like the mirror dip function (I don't) re-enabling it is the same as above but adjusting the mirrors to where you want them between steps 2 and 3.

    cheers
    Paul.

"I've had to use it a few times, when inadvertently parked next to mobile phone towers. (In fact, there is a spot in a popular skiing town we frequent notorious for immobilising Land Rovers!)."
A Faraday cage might solve this. Can Usually be made with brass mesh from Dick Smith Electronics.

Insulate any metal case etc on the alarm ECU with Glad Wrap or similar, then wrap around the brass mesh.

It is important that the mesh not come into contact with the ECU either by wrapping or by screws etc holding the ECU to its fix point etc etc.

Have made a few of these for PLC units in control cubicles where 440V or any EMF has been detected and PLC's were getting spiked.

    Check the link below.

Heres a tip if anyone gets locked out and needs to break in. If you need to smash a window, smash the rear door small window, as these can be removed and changed in a few minutes, whereas a door one will take alot longer. Oh and when you do smash it, call me and i will send you another one.

Smashing the rear window may be not be an option if the car is superlocked.

When superlocked, the car cannot be unlocked by lifting the sill button. I never superlock the car. (LR warn owners to not superlock the car if there is someone in the car - they cannot get out)

An alternative when locked out, e.g., keys left in car, is to call the NRMA.

A couple of weeks ago a friend hopped out of his P38A and left the keys in the ignition and the car locked itself. The NRMA inserted an air bellows in the door window frame and gently spread the door enough to get to the keys.

No need to smash it anyway. They come out easily enough from outside (not that I would know).

Please! I want to know, too. It might be quicker than calling the NRMA. I'll also tell my local LR guys. They left the keys in a P38A and it locked itself.
