Anyone know of any sites showing how to remove a rear diff from a P38.

What do I have to undo at the wheels to move the driveshafts out of the diff splines.

Unbolt the hub and slide the whole axle hub assembly out.

This will give the idea: Hub and Wheel Bearing Replacement (Range Rover 4.0/4.6/P38)

    Its pretty easy.

    Drain oil,
    remove wheels,
    remove the callipers,
undo the bolts holding the axle flange on, (theres 4 bolts on the axle tube near the brake calliper bolts)
remove each axle 3 inches (or completely, it doesnt matter)
unbolt the tailshaft (2 9/16 ring spanners)
unbolt the 10 or 12 nuts around the diff center (you can get at them all with a socket apart from the ones behind the vibration mount on the pas side). then the center should just pull out, sometimes it needs a wack with a lump of wood to loosen the rubber glue gasket.
