    Hand Book

I have just purchased a 2000my 4.6 HSE that had no owners Handbook with it. I will find one on ebay eventually but was hoping someone might have a PDF copy to get me going.

    1. It's on the RAVE CD.

    2. PM Andrew E on this forum. He's sure to have a hard copy.

Thanks, I have rave but was not aware i was on there. I found this website which might help others in the future...........[ame="http://www.slideshare.net/nun0mendes/range-rover-p38-2000-owners-handbook"]Range Rover P38 2000 Owner´s Handbook[/ame]
( Click on the heading for it to load in another page )

Another question, I thought all P38`s had a Viscose coupling but the Seller pointed to a diff lock button on the dash near the hight buttons ( I have not got my hands on the car yet so cant check) I cannot see any reference to this in the manual, is there a diff locker

A viscose coupling would be pretty useless!

That button is on the manual diesel cars only but it is the low range selection button. The P38A has a viscous coupling.

(I didn't see the picture to which you refer but if it's in the fascia switch panel, that's what it would be.)

It's shown in the Owner's Handbook - far left in a RHD car.

If the car has an aftermarket locker, that would be a good place to put the switch(es). I could be wrong, but I thought there had to be 2 switches? My air-locker has an "arm" switch which closes the circuit to allow the "engage" switch to operate the locker. Unfortunately it is at knee level and I have been known to accidently knock 1-2 of the 4 switches getting in and out of the car

Perhaps you can post a pic when you get the car?

    Cheers, Paul.

It wouldn't be the EAS lock switch, would it? It's right next to the height selection switch.

    PM sent regarding handbook PDF.

Oh! So that's what that switch is for! I haven't been game to try it. I'll have a play with it now.
