Grrr,
I just had my Gearbox rebuilt, so as I could fix the torque converter alignment issues. It was a full rebuild of my box including the torque converter and all balancing.
Now it has come back with some problems, and I want to know, am I just being finnicky or should these be fixed.
- Whine in 1st and 2nd, Sounds a bit like a ventura bus when accelerating.
- Still sticks a bit from 1st to 2nd when cold.
- Vibration through the car above 3000rpm (any gear)
- Selector now feels a bit sloppy
- One of the cooler lines has been bent 45degrees down and is rubbing on the oil cooler line.
Now tell me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't these cars be silky smooth? I feels like a truck gearbox.
Help, and to make matters worse I still don't have my faultmate back (another long story).
Stu
Doesn't sound like you are being finnicky to me at all.
No doubt you shelled out a fair bit of coin for the rebuild. Should be good as new.
I'd be going back.
