    Ebay Buy

Any thoughts on one of these? Seems like an easy way of getting dual pipes I guess?

I reckon you could get it done cheaper locally.

I had a set of dual pipes (cat back) made for my P38A in April 2009 for around $900 by a local exhaust shop in Canberra. I'm sure you could get it done for less if you shop around in Melbourne.

As for the sound?... I even get smiles from hoons in V8 Fords and Holdens at the traffic lights

    Cheers, Paul.

I'd get it done locally for cheaper personally. My P38 was done earlier this year - cat back in to two twin tips (4 chrome tips at the back coming from 2 pipes - for cosmetics). Cost was about $900 also.

Initially they did it without a balance pipe - meaning each exhaust was isolated from the other, but I was finding it a bit too loud like that, so went back and got a balance pipe fitted and now I find it a much more pleasing tone. Still a lot louder than stock though. My p38 is rechipped with the Tornado chip and the exhaust change gave no noticeable power gain/loss - just a lot more smiles

I had some work done recently on mine By Bruce Davis. On inspection the rear muffler was found to be rusted so it was removed and replaced by a straight bit of pipe (well, bent to go over the axle! ). Nice sound now although a bit noisier. Cost? Bugger all.

Thanks for the feedback guys, maybe Rons solution is easier

Junosi - I've noticed these chips are quite expensive? Are they worth it? Have you noticed any differences?

I'm afraid I bought it like that - with the Tornado chip recently installed - so couldn't tell you if its made any difference. I haven't owned my P38 all that long, upgraded from my Discovery

I can tell you that it does appear to have more torque than other non-chipped P38's I test drove. I think the improved fuel economy might be a myth though, as I'm fairly solidly averaging 20l/100kms, which from what I've read isn't anything to proud of (and I'm not a lead foot!)

So as for value for money of the chip.... I'm dubious but would like to be convinced
