Road bike, and all on road.
Cheers, Mick.
For me, mountainbiking is a lot like 4x4ing.
I drive my landie on bitumen because I have to, I drive offroad because it is FUN.
On a mountainbike you get to see nice scenery, and you aren't breathing in pollution all the time.
That is just the way I see it.
 Whenever you post a poll there is always at least one... :D :D :D
I did say: road, bike path, etc... - would it have helped if I said "smooth surface constructed of bitumen, concrete, wood, etc..."??? ;) :D
Mixture of both . I enjoy both Road and Off Road , Occasionaly take my Mountain Bike and ride around parramata park , really enjoy the scenary there. now would any Aulro members like to Join me for a Ride:D
Downhill racing is my hot cup of tea. Dabble in abit of 4X/dirt jumping, and do the odd XC lap from time to time.
I tried the XC way home today, first time on a bike. Up a decent sized hill then onto the dirt, over the ridge then back into suburbia. The hills on bitumen no matter how bad the road is easy compared to riding uphill on wet dirt. I am far from fit and admit to getting off and walking up one or two hilly bits. I dare say even one or two fit riders would at least take a breather.
The down hill bits on the dirt is fun, I could see this DH stuff could be very addictive, the potential for self inflicted injuries is off the chart but then again so is riding anywhere near a toss pot taxi driver donning a mobile phone.
I'm a road racer and hoping to get into some track:burnrubber:

Ex MTB but road for the last 5 years (Brisbane's river loop mainly) although did some MTB in the mountains of northern Thailand over Christmas. That was good if you ever get the chance.
