    Defender LED Dash Lighting Upgrade video tutorial

    Hi everyone

    I have finally upgraded my dash lighting to LED's and made a simple video tutorial to show the results. Enjoy!

    Thanks. The online store I ordered them from is
    6-Chip SMD (Hi Power) : BL LED Optronics Corp., Lighting up with LEDs!

    LED's are sold in pairs so buy 3 pairs, use 5 and keep 1 spare. :-)
    Be sure to buy the white ones as the built in green lens in the dials muddies up the other colours... I did try removing the green cap out of my voltmeter but detroyed it in the process, hence why I have a different voltmeter at the end of the video!

    Awesome mate!! I ve just done the same thing after seeing your vid. I immediately went out and bought 4 T10 bulbs and fitted it myself. CHeers!!!!!!

    wow 5 hours.....that must be a record, you are lucky you have some close by, i wonder if d!ck smith stocks them

    Jaycar have them - if they are the same style?
    I think you are using the quad ones?
    Jaycar number: ZD0394

    Just noticed that yours are 6 leds in the package?
    So maybe the Jaycar ones are not as bright!

    Do you know if any of the globes here would fit the front sidelights (the white domes) on the front of the 110?

    Might be a good replacement for existing globes?

    Is that a TD5?

    My 1998 300Tdi Defender took T5 LEDs, except for the clock.

    They're great.

    1973 Series III LWB 1983 - 2006
    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.
