g'day,
just to get this straight, you had a rolled disco. you took of the damaged body and left the chassis. then you had another disco and pulled off that body and put it on the chassis that previously had the damaged body. if this is correct, why did you swap the damaged cars chassis with the good cars chassis? i'm just confused of was there another car too?
Slightly confised as to the stripping of everything. When I did my body swop (back in the UK). We just unbolted both bodies and bolted the new body onto the other chassis. I changed from a 1991 2 door poverty model to a 300 series version ES with leather and electric everything. As each vehicle comes with it's own body loom and engine loom the swop was pretty straightforward.

The Swap was Because i preferred the engine of the damaged vehicle, and rather than muck about with engine mounts and stuff, just pulled the damaged body off stuck the ok body on. One of the most rewarding mechanical experiences of my life!

Yer it should be straightforward....if land rover hadn't changed almost ever plug on cars made 1 year apart, also the fact i was doing it in a backyard not a workshop made it interesting.
wow thats a great effort for a back yard body swap! a 2 post hoist and concrete floor make a big difference tho! :p

Actually I did mine in the back yard as well. Just some scaffold poles , trestles and hi lift jacks.
