It is a shame Fairy did not just develop a version of the LT95 overdrive for the series vehicles. Lubrication is far superior and while failures are not unknown they seem to be a far better product that the series version. Mine which was previously in a stage 1 works really well - the weakest points would be the synchros changing out of O/d back to direct drive.
I wonder how hard it would be to mod it to fit a series.

If you want a new drive dog, give Marshall Luscombe at Zenith Engineering in Milton, Brisbane a call. Ph 3369 0459. They make the drive dog and remanufacture the input shaft for Fairey ODs to Toro specs, so should be able to supply one to fit a Toro.

For some reason Sam all the posts appear in reverse order. Eg your original post is the last post on page 3. But the worn gear I was referring to is on the 6th photo from the top.Wear through the case hardening on this gear is common on Fairey overdrives too.Quote:

The Rocky Mountain Roverdrive is a far superior unit to the Fairey on both Series and LT230. They are apparently about to release one for the LT95.
Back to the Fairey, there was a mod in Sydney, where the seals as you suggested were removed, however instead of the fuel pump. A small funnel was fitted near the top of the transfer case, this was connected by tube fittings and a tube into the side of the overdrive housing. There was sufficient splashing inside the transfer case to fill the funnel and gravity took care of the rest of the oil circulation issues.

I need to remove the Mainshaft and send it up to them to match the gears on the inside of the shaft, but I am buggered if I know how to remove it?
There is a couple of thick spacers and circlips on the other end of the overdrive, is that where I start disassembly? Any pointers would be treaty appreciated by this floundering amateur.
