It's a 1985 Jayco Swan. We bought it from the Sunshine Coast just a few weeks ago. We've been searching the web for a long time and found that most wind-up campers were located in Victoria, so it was great to find one closer to home (Gold Coast).
The previous owner and his brother (a carpenter by trade) have replaced the pop-top roof, fitted new wall-linings, new floor etc.
However, it has no canvas. The Jayco Swan was fitted with the 'pull-out ends' when new, however, we have decided that we will just have the two ends and the sides enclosed. (ie ditch the pull-out ends idea).
It's an empty shell inside, which means Dad and I can do a refit to our own design and liking.
So, time to get busy over the next few months with this re-build. We'll keep you posted on progress.
