Hey. I know this is a really old post but I was just wondering whether the spare 33 inch tyre fits on the back or not. I've heard 35's don't but haven't heard anything about 33's.

    Hi!

    in a nut shell yes!

I have my 33 spare fitted to the factory carrier on the back door.... However.....

I mounted my 33's on aftermarket steel rims and the tyres and rims are substantially heavier than factory alloys and tyres. I notice that the door hinges do struggle a touch and the door does droop noticeably on opening and closing. I do huge amounts of off-road work and though there is some droop and a few noises on the bumpy stuff I have had no real cause for concern since fitting around two years ago.

    Hope this helps

Unless you have negative off set rims you will need to space the wheel out to clear the door, i just used a set of spare wheel nuts and wound them on backwards.

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I'll be getting different offset wheels at the same time so all should be good.
