Weeds, what type of flare tool did you buy, a cheapy or something different. Does it form good flares. I started looking today, eh what a minefield.

i borrowed a Rigid set which is at the top end of price and all the flares have held up........i than purchased one from trades tools however i have not used it, from memory it was around $80.Quote:

brake tube pliers from this guys Wide Bay Brakehose Service Online Shop i ended up buying a few fittings plus spares.
i now carry a length of tune, double flare some nuts and tube pliers in my truck which means...............i should never rip a brake off in the bush
Thanks mate. The pliers look pretty good actually, I watched a video of a bloke bending pipe with them. You can get some nice tight bends with them.

I jagged 1 of the Alistair brake shut off valve from a bloke in Tassie for $60 delivered off ebay. He had bought it for a drag car project but never used it, so that was a pretty good score :D
driving down the toowoomba range yesterday....the brakes work well with the car......we were behind a B Double and they go that slow that i should have engage low range
me being silly decided to play around using just the manual overide for the trailer.....it was working great until i notice a bit of smoke coming from the trailer wheels :eek::eek:
