I know you are still in bull bar mode Yes we modified ours to suit a winch.

Camper mode, we used the sign panels as was suggested, helps that hh used to work for a sign company, here is ours if interested

Hard to tell 100% in the photos, but doesn't look like you've got the extended aircon grille support.
I'd be sorting out the condenser for the A/C before getting too keen with the bullbar and winch.

As usual you're right onto it Steve! its just the standard non AC grille support, have gone over the different options and decided not to restrict any more airflow into intercooler or to push the bar and winch any futher forward so will be mounting the condensor up high between the back of the cab and tray somewhere. Will be part of the custom tray build... I'm lucky to have a mate that's an auto AC guru who says it won't be a problem up there with electric fans, will be about half of condensor with direct airflow. Earth moving machines have next to zero airflow, just use fans are their AC works very well.

Make sure you mount the tray according to LR specs. Im yet to see one in the flesh that has been. Its one of the main reasons bracketry is failing and cracking on the chassis. The pdf is on here somewhere...

Cheers for that, I wasn't aware there is an issue with they way trays are mounted. Will look into it.

Thanks for the link, looks like a great job. Mine will be a lot simpler than yours, as I said earlier I really don't think the walk in type camper will fit us all in with any room to move. I will basically be building a big box with all storage on the inside, kitchen etc all accessed from the outside but undercover. I'm interested on you thoughts about the sign panels, were they a good thing to use etc? I was thinking of making an angle iron (folded gal sheet, or mabey ally) frame and fixing the panels to it with a sikaflex type glue and rivets, similar to how some truck bodies are made, think removal trucks.
