We are camped an the wallan Creek at Bollon, good camp, creek nice and full but very muddy, bit different from the crystal clear creeks up north, and back home![]()
On way in hit our first roo, Landy one, roo zero.
You can, like these 1995 Land Rover Defender Limit Straps at Andy's Auto Sport but I'm not sure what length and where to attach them.
It shouldn't be too hard to work out which one you need. Just flex it up and take a measurement![]()
Ive used these guys before - Obviously it would be nice if the Aussie Peso picked itself up out of the dirt but eh swings and roundabouts and all that:
Poly Performance Quad Wrapped Ultra Strength Limit Strap
With regards to required length I would lift the chassis watching the damper stroke, once damper stops stroking minus a cm or two then measure distance between mounting points.

G'day Ranga, I got the longest travel koni raids and lowered the factory chassis mount to take advantage of the airbags longer stroke, when the chassis is lifted the airbags are fully extended when the shocks top out. I also lowered the bump stops so they contact before the shock bottoms out.
I just rang airbagman and he assured me that when the airbag reaches full extension it has little energy left so the force on the shocks is less than with the factory coil set up. So a decent shock set up to suit the bags stroke should be fine. Still, limit straps wouldn't hurt anything.
Thanks for the link Steve,
Cheers
But surely the clunk can't be good for the shock? Do you reckon airbags extend further than coils? If not, wonder why I never got the clunk with coils?
