Thread: Roof Console

Whaaawh! can I put in an order for one!! How much? Fabulous work Glen- just great!
Question - why didn't you use plain ally or get it anodised a nice colour?
Criticism - "Centre" not "center" (that's how the Yanks spell it). Spelling and grammar is a bit of a pet obsession of mine don't worry - not a personal criticism - just something I need to get over.

Thanks for the complement, I am pretty chuffed with the result myself.

The carpet matches the roof and I did the roof because I was driving at night a lot (working for the cotton gins from Warren, NSW up to Emerald, Qld and in between) the original factory lining would glow green from the instrument panel and after a few hours would really get to me. The carpet put an end to that, I really didn't consider any other option.

Yeah, I know it's centre but the auto correct just drags me down. I am pretty sure that the "why don't you try the cloud" will be the next thing that goes in my resolve.

As for making another, I want to do a fridge slide / water tank unit for the rear foot well, Left and right sill tanks (water / fuel) and oh yeah I need to redo the centre (there ya go) console on my boat, so perhaps at the end of this decade you can give me a yell.

    Cheers Glen

Yeah, bloody auto corrrect - yanks trying to take over the world again. haha - I usually try to resist things like the cloud for as long as possible as well. Same as that bloody stupid SUV acronym. Reflection at night didn't even occur to me. A shiny unit would probably look like a disco ball at night! I was only joking about buying one cos I'm a bit the same - rather do it myself. Speaking of which, gotta sort out a new roof rack. Yep, the work never ends. I have about a decades worth of work to do around the house so the pressure is always there for that which makes it hard to attend to hobbies and other interests.
