    Hi

You are doing a great job documenting this project. Keeping this thread on-topic and with the really excellent pictures will means others who wish to do some of these mods will have some great examples to get ideas from. You clearly have some really ace mechanical and engineering skills :-) Most people that do mods will need to check for themselves what is OK or not in their own state.

Keep up this great documentation project.

Rather concerning though that the SRS system is no longer compliant.

Unless he's changed his airbags in the last 10 years it probably wasn't anyway Project Roverkill D2a

Unplug the fuse if it concerns you otherwise homemade bull bars ftw just don't ram up someone's bum!
Not a fan of the hoop but that's my opinion (maybe coz I see it on a lot of mall jeeps)

But I really love your work no one would know it's "homemade" there's a difference between DIY and Done it myself and you nailed itProject Roverkill D2a

Thanks for the compliments mate. Yeah like i said, there is just so many variables that can be disputed when this conversation comes up its just crazy!

Funny about the hoop. I might chop it off and go with this one instead... what do you think?

So i took the chance to do a bit of a working holiday down south at a beautiful place called Bremer Bay. We used to go down to this area as kids for camping holidays. To see it has not changed in however many years is nice - how i remember it. Its a Sunday and there isn't anything to do here so i thought i may as well update the build thread.

I have completed a number of small modifications to the disco. I replaced the diff drain plugs with some alloy replacements. Anyone who has dealt with the plastic stock units will know why i did this!

I pressed up some aluminum sheet metal and fixed a table for the rear door. It has two strong magnets at the top to secure it in the upright position. I have already used this thing a million times, its a great addition for camping and lunch stops etc.

and to finish this post off some beauty shots of the vehicle. (Don't mind the missing headlight plastics!)

    Cheers

Spent the afternoon exploring the dunes at Dillon Bay. A few weird looks were given by on lookers as i spent a good 10 minutes getting the right shot.

A great beach and great shots. We spent a day looking around on that beach in April.
We struck some very very soft sand over on the eastern side of Bremer Bay near Gordon Inlet. The only time I have got our D4 bogged.
    Have fun.
