Awesome niche product Andrew!
Go for it - steel tanks are soooooo old hat.
I am working on that press die. Using multiple layers of 10mm steel was a dismal failure.
Looking into an wire EDM option...
Anyone have access to wire EDM, a soft spot for landy fabrication and time to burn?
Seems this job I have is too small and inconsequential for the players I have found.
Steve
Chopped 17" out, got the ally plate for the mold, test fit on a 110 tomorrow 😀 also got other 130 's to test and there might even be a 90 😉

Thanks Steve, glad you're still working on that die cos I may need to buy it off you cos I'm about to buy a 50ton press! Will cost a bit more than yours but I do need it for a heap of stuff. we better catch up and discuss so we both don't make the same die 😉

Was good to have a look at a 110 and a puma 130 yesterday, thanks to those that helped out. There was about 10 mm difference in the chassis outrigger position but can be allowed for. The puma 130 has fancy plastic covers under the floor on drivers side and under the battery box on passenger side. They reduce the clearance a fair bit but can be easily removed. Think they are a stone guard? I couldn't offer up my wood tank because of the home made rock sliders but was good to check all the mounting brackets fit and note differences.
The 110 had a step in the way but I got to offer up the rear section and work out where the filler and sender will go.
And photo of the tank fitted with all four straps on my 130.

Should be able to get stuck into it this next couple of weeks 👍

One of the other projects I've been working on is a bike rack for the back of a vehicle, mainly for mountain bikes but will fit road bikes also. Will hold 5 or 6 bikes very quickly with only the rubber tyres touching the rack, bikes don't touch each other, works very well. Sticks out no futher than the horizontal type 4 bike racks and the bars don't clash.

Nice work..
nice work, i once thought of something similar but put it to bed as i thought it would be good for the forks........it common for riders to hang their bikes vertically but figured bouncing along the road might not be so good.
now get back onto the sill tanks.....
Righto weeds, back onto the tanks!
