Still a bit of a way off but just start squirreling away enough for a steel tank and you should have some change for a large bag of mixed nuts and a slab or two of beer!

    Enjoying the high country

Big milestone, I did a test run of the mold to check it all works, doesn't leak, pulls apart, fit up to 130, etc and are very relieved to say that it all looks bloody beautiful! 😀 Because it was just a test they use all the left over scrap plastic powder of all different colours mixed together which turned out olive green, don't worry the finished product will be black! Or whatever colour you want.

So now will fit a few more brass inserts for breathers and tidy up a few areas and test for thickness.

I'm also happy to say that it holds about 95 litres as measured on bathroom scales, which is what I guestimated. Good capacity and it all tucks up nicely.

So stay tuned, won't be long now. To those who would like one please let me know so I can do a batch to get costs down. Will get back with the price by the end of the week hopefully as the plastic workshop boss is still working it out. I do have a ballpark but want the final price.

    Cheers, Andrew.

    Hi Andrew

Will you be developing a tank for the passenger side of the 130? I have a water pump and air tanks under my drivers side.

    Cheers

G'day, yes I'm planning to make a tank for the passenger side, water or diesel, will be about 20 litres less capacity though because of the battery box. Will probably start on the 110 tank next as there is more demand. Depends when you want one but you could always move your air tanks etc😉 fuel tank is easier on the drivers side for rigging up the filler so you fill both tanks from the same side.
    Cheers, Andrew.

Awesome....although I think in need to park next to a 110 and compare...just to make sure my storage boxes on the hardtop don't impede on the space.

I'm still keen for a LH 110 unit for water provided the factory side step can be modified to suit fitting as we discussed when I called in
    Cheers, Kyle

After a few minor tweaks I got a black one molded yesterday which turned out really good. I've fitted it up with the straps and it all fits beautifully, nice and tucked up. Now to fully weld the brackets and plumb it up for a test run😉
